# Introducing the Test Scenario Selector: revolutionizing alternative payment method testing

We're excited to announce the launch of our new **Test Scenario Selector** , a dynamic testing interface that transforms how you test alternative payment methods (APMs) within Worldline Global Collect. This innovative tool is part of our comprehensive end-to-end testing initiative, designed to provide a uniform, reliable testing suite for all supported alternative payment products.  

# **What is the Test Scenario Selector?**

The Test Scenario Selector is a sophisticated testing simulator that replicates third-party provider test environments. Instead of navigating through multiple disparate testing systems, you can now access a unified interface that supports comprehensive testing scenarios for all APM products offered through our Connect platform.

This dynamic interface allows you to:

* Select payment-product-specific test cases for simulation
* Specify relevant feedback timeframes
* Test various transaction outcomes and scenarios
* Simulate real-world payment flows in a controlled environment

# **How It Works?**

1. Access the test scenario selector
   1. Navigate to the [Configuration Center](https://docs.connect.worldline-solutions.com/documentation/configuration-center.md) and click on the API Explorer.
   2. You need to be onboarded for the applicable payment product in pre-production to use this feature
2. Create payment API call
   1. Choose either "Create a hosted checkout API call" or "Create a payment API call" option
   2. The Test Scenario Selector replaces the normal redirection to third-party provider test environments
3. Select test cases and feedback type  
   Choose from various payment-specific test scenarios to simulate, and then select your preferred feedback timeframe:
   * Immediate Notification: Response received immediately
   * Delayed Notification (15 minutes): Response within 15 minutes
   * Delayed Notification (Next day): Response the following day
   * Consumer failed to return: Simulates browser/session closure
4. Test various available scenarios:

* Successful transactions
* Transaction rejection
* Cancellation
* Expiration
* Timeout
* Consumer abandonment
* Process refunds (if applicable)
  1. Refunds can be tested using the Refund API
  2. Only available for transactions with PAID status

* Additional payment method support (the Test Scenario Selector is currently available for iDEAL only)
* Expanded scenario coverage (the addition of error test scenarios)
