Wero is a digital wallet and an innovative payment solution launched by the European Payments Initiative (EPI), a consortium of major European banks and payment service providers. It uses Account-to-Account (A2A) technology built on the SEPA Instant Credit Transfer (SCT Inst) rails. Wero enables consumers to pay directly from their existing bank account with a secure, instant confirmation via a mobile app. It offers a single, frictionless solution to reach customers in key European markets like Germany and Belgium, with more to come.
