Is it possible to receive a chargeback on BC Card?
Yes, you can receive a chargeback on BC Card transactions. First, you'll get the notification of a chargeback (XCB), and you need to provide supporting evidence within the indicated timelines if you want to defend (dispute) it. This can be done via Payment Console or Dispute API (if you have enrolled for it). Once defended (disputed), the BC Card scheme will decide on the outcome:
- positive: you will not receive the chargeback (-CB), hence no financial adjustment
- negative: you will receive a chargeback in your settlement, and it will be registered as -CB in the WX report
