Process flows

In order to integrate Sofort, please refer to our API Reference.

sofort-flow-1

  1. Consumer places an order and chooses Sofort.
  2. Consumer is redirected to the online banking system of his/her choice and is authenticated.
  3. The balance is checked and the consumer authorizes the payment.
  4. Payment status is updated and communicated via us to you.
  5. Consumer's bank sends funds and references to our bank.
  6. Funds are remitted to us and statements are gathered to process all incoming payments.
  7. We remit funds and report to you.

Transactions with Sofort are real-time, but they cannot be 100% guaranteed. This applies for less than 1% of the total volume. The reason is that Sofort is a bank-independent interface between you and the consumer, and is not able to control the functionalities on the page hosted by the consumer’s bank. It's your choice at which status you want to release the goods: 800/900 or 1000.
